Key Responsibilities

The Compliance Analyst will act as the project compliance expert for a portfolio of government-funded construction projects. Working with a dedicated compliance team, you will help ensure projects meet federal, state, and local compliance objectives.

  • Protect the organization and trade partners by enforcing compliance with federal, state, and local prevailing wage laws, union requirements, and project labor agreements (PLAs)
  • Generate, certify, and submit Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs) for Confidential Client craft employees and review subcontractor CPRs for accuracy and timeliness
  • Collect, review, and manage prevailing wage documentation for Confidential Client and trade partners
  • Cross-check payroll submissions against project records to confirm proper wage payments to craft workers
  • Conduct weekly on-site worker interviews to verify compliance with prevailing wage rules
  • Support investigations and resolution of complex prevailing wage issues with third parties
  • Prepare and resolve internal audit findings related to compliance
  • Manage project compliance start-up and close-out activities
  • Collaborate with project teams and corporate leadership to recommend process improvements
  • Maintain confidentiality around sensitive payroll and compliance information
  • Travel to one or more project sites locally as required
  • Perform other compliance-related duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Highly motivated and organized with strong time-management skills

  • Strong attention to detail and reliable, high-quality output

  • Ability to learn quickly and perform under pressure in a fast-paced team environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Familiarity with federal contracting, labor regulations, and FAR is a plus

  • Alignment with high standards of professionalism and ethical conduct

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to work on-site at active construction locations when required


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Relevant experience in construction compliance, payroll auditing, or prevailing wage administration is a plus

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

The position is primarily office-based with regular computer work, document review, and meetings. You will also visit active construction sites which may involve exposure to outdoor conditions, noise, and moving equipment. The role may require lifting up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally.

This role can be demanding and may require flexibility to work extended hours during critical project phases.


Compensation & Benefits

Confidential Client offers a total compensation package including base salary, bonus potential, and comprehensive benefits (health/dental/vision, paid time off, retirement/401k, and other programs). For this role the posted base salary range is $60,000–$75,000. Compensation may vary depending on education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
