The Compliance Analyst I supports the bank's Compliance Management System by performing quality assurance reviews, compliance monitoring, and documentation across various consumer compliance areas. What You’ll Do
This role supports the Compliance function for a Confidential Client in the Legal industry by assisting with compliance monitoring, quality assurance, documentation, and reporting across consumer compliance areas (for example HMDA, CRA, deposit and lending compliance, disclosures, complaints and marketing). Typical duties include:
- Perform assigned quality assurance reviews, compliance monitoring tasks, and data validation under Compliance management direction.
- Review documentation, system data, disclosures, procedures, reports, complaints, and other materials to assess compliance with federal and state consumer protection laws.
- Document findings, observations, exceptions, and supporting workpapers according to Compliance Department standards.
- Track compliance findings, corrective actions, and remediation status; support issue follow-up.
- Help prepare data and draft summaries for compliance reporting and examination requests.
- Identify and escalate potential UDAAP (unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices) risks observed during reviews and monitoring.
- Communicate professionally with business line partners to obtain materials and clarify review items.
- Support Compliance Analysts, Senior Compliance Officers, and Compliance leadership on audits, projects, and regulatory inquiries.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Compliance Management System (CMS).

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Prior banking, audit, QA, operations, risk management, or compliance experience preferred but not required.
- Basic familiarity with consumer compliance regulations and banking operations preferred.
- Willingness to learn the organization’s CMS and consumer protection law expectations.
- CCBCO, CRCM, or similar compliance certification is a plus but not required.
Required Skills & Tools
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency with data management and reporting tools (e.g., Excel); experience with RiskExec or similar systems is helpful.
- Clear written and verbal communication; ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to manage competing tasks and deadlines; basic project management capabilities.
Physical Demands & Work Style
- Primarily a stationary desk role with frequent keyboard/computer use and regular verbal/written communication.
- Some tasks may require periodic activity away from the desk for meetings or reviews.
