What You’ll Do

The Compliance Analyst will act as the project compliance specialist supporting a portfolio of government-funded construction projects. This is an entry-level role with strong potential for growth within the Project Controls and Compliance function. You will work closely with a team of compliance professionals and project leadership to ensure regulatory and contract requirements are met.

  • Protect the organization and trade partners by enforcing federal, state, and local prevailing wage laws, union and Project Labor Agreement (PLA) requirements.
  • Prepare, certify, and submit Certified Payroll Reports (CPRs) for client craft employees and subcontractors accurately and on time.
  • Collect, review, and manage prevailing wage documentation from company and trade partners.
  • Cross-check payroll submissions against project records to confirm correct wage payments for craft workers.
  • Collaborate with project teams and corporate stakeholders to resolve compliance issues and recommend process improvements.
  • Assist with complex prevailing wage inquiries and third-party investigations when required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive payroll and compliance data.
  • Support community economic opportunity objectives by monitoring worker utilization and small business subcontracting goals.
  • Address and resolve internal audit findings promptly.
  • Manage compliance start-up and close-out activities for assigned projects.
  • Conduct site visits and weekly worker interviews to validate prevailing wage compliance.
  • Travel locally to one or more project sites as required.

Basic Qualifications

  • Highly motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and dependable output quality
  • Ability to learn quickly and perform under pressure in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with federal contracting, labor regulations, and FAR is a plus
  • Alignment to Confidential Client standards: self-motivated, results oriented, adaptable, team player, ethical, accountable, and committed to building relationships and teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred, or relevant work experience in compliance, payroll, or construction administration

Physical Requirements

  • Primarily desk-based work with prolonged sitting and computer use
  • Visual acuity for document review and computer tasks
  • Ability to move around the office and travel to construction sites
  • Regularly lift/move up to 10 lbs; occasionally up to 25 lbs

Work Environment & Culture

  • Primary workspace is a professional office; work will also require visits to active construction sites (exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and moving equipment).
  • This role requires adherence to site safety procedures and applicable laws.
  • The environment is high-performing and can require extended hours during critical project phases.
  • Confidential Client promotes a drug-free workplace; pre-employment fitness-for-duty screening may be required and periodic testing may occur.
