What You’ll Do
We are seeking an outgoing, motivated, people-focused Community Relations Associate to support a confidential client’s community outreach and PR efforts in Virginia Beach, VA. This entry-level role provides training and hands-on experience connecting organizations with local communities and supporting outreach campaigns and events.
- Support community outreach programs, campaigns, and local events
- Engage with community members and build positive relationships
- Represent the confidential client at public engagements and community activities
- Connect with local businesses, nonprofits, community groups, and residents
- Share information about charitable programs, services, and initiatives
- Assist with promotional materials, marketing, and communications
- Gather community and customer feedback to inform outreach strategies
- Support public relations and brand awareness initiatives
- Collaborate with team members to meet outreach and campaign goals
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Qualifications
- Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable meeting new people
- Positive, professional attitude and strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Organized, dependable, and able to manage time effectively
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in customer service, sales, marketing, public relations, fundraising, retail, hospitality, or community outreach is a plus but not required
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred but not required
