Position Overview

The Confidential Client is hiring a Community-Based Specialist to deliver intensive, in-home behavioral health services to youth and families. This role works directly in the community to prevent out-of-home placements and accelerate family stability using evidence-based interventions. The position is community-facing, requires reliable travel, and offers opportunities for clinical growth and licensure supervision.

What You’ll Do

The Family Intervention Specialist will:

• Carry a caseload of 4–6 families
• Deliver individual and family sessions in-home or in the community — typically three times per week, scheduled to meet families’ needs
• Assess youth and family strengths and needs using a solution-focused, trauma-informed approach
• Attend three weekly meetings (individual, team, clinical consultation) and quarterly booster trainings
• Drive 60–80 miles (or more as needed) to meet families where they are; mileage reimbursement provided
• Collaborate with other providers, case workers, and courts to develop coordinated treatment plans
• Provide on-call crisis support per local schedule
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Perform other duties as assigned to support program goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a social services discipline (required). Relevant fields include social work, counseling, psychology, criminal justice, marriage & family therapy, or comparable programs (other degrees subject to review)
• Master’s degree in a social services discipline preferred
• Experience with at-risk youth and families preferred (volunteer, internship, or paid experience)
• Clinical experience preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a flexible schedule
• Basic computer literacy (EMR experience helpful)
• Valid driver’s license, reliable automobile for work, and proof of auto insurance

Compensation & Schedule

• Employment type: Contractor / Full time
• Salary range: $52,000 - $60,000 per year (based on education and clinical license)
• Schedule: Flexible and non-traditional; work hours are set around family availability and program needs
• Travel: Regular local travel required; mileage reimbursement provided
