What You’ll Do
We’re looking for an Entry‑Level Marketing Communications Assistant to support a Confidential Client’s marketing and events work. This is a hands-on role where you’ll help execute campaigns, assist at live events, and support brand and promotional activities.
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and executing marketing communications campaigns and promotional events
- Support development of creative marketing materials, messaging, and brand communications
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer insights, and competitor activity
- Monitor campaign performance, compile simple reports, and suggest optimizations
- Help organize and run live events, activations, and brand experiences
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to manage logistics and timelines
- Provide administrative and project support, maintain marketing assets and calendars
- Represent the Confidential Client professionally at events to help create engaging customer experiences
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or related field preferred but not required
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organization, time management, and ability to multitask
- Creative thinker with strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast‑paced environment
- Experience or internships in event marketing, promotions, or customer engagement is a plus
Compensation & Logistics
- Employment type: Full‑time
- Salary range: $35,000 – $60,000 per year
- Location: Norfolk, VA (23462) — local candidates or those able to commute to the area preferred
- This position is with a Confidential Client operating in the PR, Advertising & Marketing industry
