About the Role
Confidential Client is hiring entry-level Commodity Trading Associates to join a fast-paced commodity trading team focused on agricultural products (grain, oilseeds, feed and processing by-products). This is an associate-level position that offers hands-on trading experience, structured training, and opportunities to build commercial, analytical, and negotiation skills. Candidates must be geographically flexible and willing to relocate for placement.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain customer relationships with country elevators, producers, feed mills and processors
- Monitor supply/demand fundamentals, market conditions and price drivers to support trading decisions
- Negotiate and execute commodity purchase/sale contracts (price, quality, quantity, transport, timing, payment)
- Coordinate transportation and logistics to fulfill contracts
- Ensure accurate contract follow-up, execution and closeout
- Communicate effectively with teams across sales, logistics, quality, plant operations, engineering and accounting
- Conduct occasional plant and crop surveys to meet suppliers and customers
- Support ad hoc projects and collaborate on cross-functional initiatives

Minimum & Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum:
- Right to work in the U.S. (not based solely on student visa or third-party sponsorship)
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited program; graduating between Dec 2026 and summer 2027
- Geographic flexibility and willingness to relocate for placement
- Strong prioritization, collaboration, and communication skills
- Preferred:
- Introductory college-level micro or macroeconomics coursework completed or in progress
- Prior commodity trading internship or relevant commercial/agricultural experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary (expected): $74,000 (the disclosed salary has not been adjusted for any geographic differential)

Location & Work Type
- Authoritative location for this posting: Eddyville, IA (role may be filled in various U.S. locations; candidates must be open to relocation)
- Majority of workweek onsite (plant or office setting), with potential hybrid flexibility depending on placement
