Job Overview
Confidential Client, a leading property damage restoration organization, is hiring an entry-level Commercial Estimator to support large-scale commercial restoration projects involving water, fire, storm, and mold damage. This role focuses on evaluating project scope, developing accurate estimates, and delivering timely, competitive proposals to business clients. This is a direct-hire position with training and development provided.
What You’ll Do
As a Commercial Estimator you will:
- Identify and pursue commercial restoration opportunities with property managers, facility directors, risk managers, and insurance partners.
- Conduct on-site assessments of commercial properties (office, retail, industrial) to evaluate damage and determine restoration scope.
- Prepare clear, competitive estimates and proposals using industry estimating tools and software.
- Present scopes, timelines, and cost estimates to clients in a consultative, professional manner.
- Manage the sales and project pipeline from lead generation through contract close, including follow-ups and negotiations.
- Maintain accurate records of prospects, opportunities, and client interactions in CRM and project management systems.
- Coordinate with operations and project teams to ensure smooth handoffs from estimating to execution.
- Represent Confidential Client at industry events and networking opportunities to generate leads and build awareness.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in B2B sales, account management, estimating, or business development; restoration, construction, or insurance-related experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of commercial restoration processes, construction, or insurance claims.
- High school diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, or related field is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel throughout Orange, San Bernardino, and Riverside Counties.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with estimating/documentation tools such as Xactimate, CompanyCam, DocuSketch, or Matterport — or willingness to learn.
- Knowledge of IICRC standards, commercial building codes, and large-loss restoration protocols is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM platforms.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging business clients and stakeholders.

- Estimated base salary: $98,276 per year (estimated).
