About the Role
Confidential Client is hiring a Commercial Data Analyst to support commercial decision-making across trading performance, member behaviour, product performance and location strategy. This is an opportunity to own analysis end-to-end, work directly with senior stakeholders, and turn data into actions that drive growth. The role suits someone with ~2 years of analytics experience who is confident with SQL, dashboards and communicating insights to non-technical audiences.
What You’ll Do
- Analyse trading performance across the estate and surface actionable insights to inform commercial decisions
- Support member acquisition and retention analysis — identify drivers of membership growth and churn
- Work with property/location teams to evaluate site performance and inform opening/investment decisions
- Evaluate product usage and member behaviour to help the Product team refine offerings
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports that give stakeholders clear, timely views of performance
- Deliver end-to-end ad-hoc analyses: scope questions, run analyses, and present findings with recommendations
- Communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical colleagues to drive business action
What We're Looking For
- ~2 years experience in a data analytics role, preferably in a commercial or consumer-facing environment
- Strong, independent SQL skills — able to write and troubleshoot queries without support
- Confident Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis
- Experience building reports, dashboards or data visualisations (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI or similar)
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting findings to stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and a curious, proactive approach to problem solving
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to prioritise work in a fast-moving environment
