Position Overview

Confidential Client (Wellness and Fitness Services) is hiring a Commercial Data Analyst to be the analytical bridge between Sales and Finance. This hands-on role focuses on customer analytics, segmentation, propensity modeling, and measurable go-to-market recommendations that drive revenue and profitability. This is a Full-time, Associate-level role based in Atlanta, GA.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and evaluate customer segmentation and propensity models (regression, clustering, ensemble methods) using device registration, usage, subscription, and demographic data.
  • Translate analytical results into actionable go-to-market targets for D2C and insights for B2B partners to improve assortment, sell-through, and co-marketing.
  • Design, run, and evaluate pricing and promotional tests; measure conversion, upgrade rates, retention, elasticity, and profitability.
  • Define and maintain key customer-value metrics (LTV, repeat purchase rate, cohort retention) and identify leading indicators of high-value customers.
  • Ensure data quality and investigate anomalies or metric discrepancies across sources.
  • Automate recurring validation and reporting workflows using SQL and Python; build dashboards for funnel performance, cohort health, and campaign outcomes.
  • Document methods, assumptions, and outcomes so learnings compound over time and can be reviewed with stakeholders.

Scope & Decision Authority

  • Own defined analyses, reports, and outcomes within assigned go-to-market strategies.
  • Continuously evaluate short-term sales opportunities across key markets and recommend actions.
  • Make analytical and methodological decisions within established frameworks; collaborate with Sales and Finance on strategy and prioritization.

Qualifications (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, analytics, or data science — ideally in a commercial or consumer-products environment.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Python for data analysis and modeling.
  • Strong foundation in statistics (hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, experimental design).
  • Familiarity with modeling concepts: regression, feature selection, clustering, ensemble methods.
  • Experience applying customer analytics concepts (segmentation, lifetime value, cohort retention) to business decisions.
  • Strong communication skills to translate technical analysis for non-technical stakeholders and drive action.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with modern cloud data stacks (AWS, Redshift, dbt).
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Comfort using AI-assisted tools to accelerate analysis while maintaining high quality.
  • Interest in fitness and endurance sports.

Role Details

  • Employment type: Full-time
  • Seniority level: Associate
  • Industry: Wellness and Fitness Services

Why Apply (Benefits of the role)

  • Apply real data science skills to profit-generating actions and influence commercial strategy.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales and Finance to deliver measurable business impact.
  • Build repeatable analytical frameworks and dashboards used across the organization.
