Role Overview
Confidential Client is seeking a Commercial Associate to join their Global Commercial Bank — Middle Market team in New York City, NY. This role develops foundational commercial banking skills in financial analysis, client relationship support, and commercial banking operations. You will deliver data-driven insights, prepare client materials, and support transaction execution across product partners and internal teams.
What You’ll Do
- Support analysis of market and industry data to produce insights for client meetings, pitch decks, and relationship reviews
- Build pitchbooks, client presentations, and supporting materials in collaboration with Relationship Managers and Market Executives
- Observe and support credit approval and treasury solutions workflows to learn product packaging and approval requirements
- Coordinate internal partners (Credit, Treasury Management, FX, Wealth, Investment Banking) throughout transactions
- Deliver new-business analytics, monitor client activity, and support portfolio optimization to expand client relationships
- Read and interpret financial and cash-flow statements to evaluate company financial condition and industry trends
- Use data visualization and storytelling to present findings and support internal idea generation and execution

Compensation (Estimated)
- Estimated base pay: $104,090 per year (estimated by source). Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, and local law. If you are in a pay-transparency jurisdiction, additional pay details are available during the hiring process.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of professional or business experience
- Strong analytical thinking and basic financial modeling ability
- Ability to interpret corporate financial statements and cash flows
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently when needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or prior entry-level experience in financial services
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
