Overview

Confidential Client is seeking a Commercial Associate to join a Transformative Healthcare-focused team within Global Commercial Banking in Nashville, TN. This is an early-career commercial banking role that builds financial analysis, industry research, and client relationship skills while supporting deal execution, pitch materials, and portfolio management for middle-market healthcare and life sciences companies.

What You’ll Do

• Support market, economic and industry research to generate actionable insights for client meetings and pitchbooks.
• Prepare presentations, relationship reviews and data-driven materials in collaboration with Relationship Managers and Market Executives.
• Analyze financial statements and cash flows to help assess company creditworthiness and industry trends.
• Assist with credit approval preparation and coordinate treasury or product specialists during transaction workflows.
• Monitor portfolio activity and run new-business analytics to identify cross-sell and relationship expansion opportunities.
• Observe client conversations and work with internal partners (Investment Banking, FX, Wealth, Credit, Treasury) to learn end-to-end client solutions and execution steps.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of professional or business experience.
• Strong analytical thinking with basic financial modeling capability.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently and on teams.
• Ability to read and interpret corporate financial statements.

• Internship or entry-level experience in financial services or commercial banking.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field.
