Role overview
Confidential Client is hiring a Commercial Associate (Middle Market) to support the GCB Tri-State Middle Market Relationship Management team covering Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. This analytical, client-facing role—based in Nichols Hills, OK—delivers market and industry insights, prepares client pitchbooks and relationship reviews, and supports transaction coordination across credit, treasury and product teams.
What you’ll do
- Support analysis of market and industry data to develop insights for client/prospect meetings, pitchbooks, and relationship reviews.
- Prepare and polish client presentations and materials in collaboration with Market Executives and Relationship Managers.
- Observe and support credit approval and treasury solutions processes to learn product capabilities and packaging requirements.
- Coordinate internal product and deal teams throughout transaction lifecycles.
- Deliver new-business analytics, monitor client activity, and help identify portfolio optimization and cross-sell opportunities.
- Interpret corporate financial statements and cash flows to assess company and industry financial conditions.
- Work with domestic and international teammates (Investment Banking, FX, Wealth) and Product Specialists to design client solutions.
Required qualifications
- Minimum of two years of professional or business experience.
- Strong analytical thinking and basic financial modeling skills.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to read and interpret corporate financial statements.
Preferred qualifications
- Internship or entry-level experience in financial services.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Prior commercial banking experience, particularly in credit, is strongly preferred.
