Team & Role Overview

Confidential Client’s Healthcare, Education & Not-for-Profit specialty team serves not-for-profit healthcare systems, private higher education, and charitable or cultural organizations. This Commercial Associate role on the Global Commercial Banking / Middle Market team delivers analytical research, client support, and transaction coordination that help relationship teams win and service complex commercial clients.

This posting is for the Baltimore, MD location. The team supports clients across the Washington, DC / Baltimore region; specific day-to-day location and in-office expectations will be communicated during the hiring process.


What You’ll Do

You will support relationship managers and product partners by producing data-driven insights, preparing client materials, and helping execute credit and treasury transactions.

  • Support analysis of market and industry data for client meetings, pitchbooks, and relationship reviews
  • Produce economic and sector insights, industry analysis, and client presentation materials
  • Assist with credit approval and treasury packaging processes to learn product and approval requirements
  • Coordinate across product teams (e.g., Credit, Treasury Management, FX, Merchant Services) during transactions
  • Monitor client activity, contribute to portfolio optimization and new-business analytics
  • Interpret financial statements and cash flows to assess company health and trends
  • Observe client interactions and support relationship coverage to build commercial banking knowledge

Who You Are (Required Qualifications)

  • Minimum of two years of professional or business experience
  • Strong analytical thinking and basic financial modeling skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Collaborative team player with good interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting corporate financial statements
  • Able to work independently and take initiative

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior internship or entry-level experience in financial services or commercial banking
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field

Compensation & Benefits

Pay range: $85,000 – $125,000 annualized salary. Final offers will be determined by experience, education, and skill set.

This role is eligible for discretionary annual incentive awards and is currently benefits-eligible. Benefits and paid-time-off details will be provided by Confidential Client during the interview process.
