Overview

Confidential Client seeks an entry-level Combustion and Emissions Systems Engineer to join a thermal & fluid systems engineering team in Seymour, IN. This early-career role uses analytical and experimental approaches (modeling, controls, and test methods) to answer questions about combustion, emissions, and energy-conversion system performance and to support product decisions. This is an on-site role with flexibility; relocation assistance is available. Start date: June 2027.

What You’ll Do

  • Investigate product, system, and technology issues related to combustion, emissions, and thermal/fluid behavior; recommend corrective actions and document results.
  • Execute analysis and experimental test plans using modeling and test tools (GT‑Power, Fluent, Converge, ACCEPTS, ECM in-loop test benches, emissions data systems).
  • Support calibration, data capture and analysis (Calterm, CDAT, DARTS, test-data calculation and storage).
  • Contribute to product development processes (PPP, PPT, VPI, VPC, ESW, FEP) and apply established engineering standard work.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into verifiable system requirements; develop and negotiate acceptance criteria.
