What You’ll Do

• Support the Accounts Receivable (AR) function by reducing invoice backlogs and managing past-due balances to improve cash flow and reporting accuracy.
• Follow up professionally with escalated customer accounts to secure payment and resolve billing inquiries.
• Process, print, and distribute invoice copies for a portfolio of ~50–100 customers, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Perform ad-hoc Excel analysis: create charts/graphs, manipulate datasets, subtotal customer financials, and produce summary reports.
• Use Excel tools (VLOOKUP, pivot tables) to reconcile and review customer account data.
• Provide high-quality customer service in all interactions regarding invoices, balances, and payment status.
• Assist the AR team with data entry, documentation, and routine reporting as needed.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to help develop and refine finance processes and corporate structure improvements.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a business-related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Some corporate experience, ideally in collections or an Accounts Receivable role.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
• Clear, professional communication and a customer-focused mindset.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills.
• Ability to prioritize and handle a high volume of invoices and customer accounts.
• Analytical approach with the ability to present findings using charts and basic reports.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a finance/AR career path.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay rate: $21.00 per hour (Contract-to-Hire).

Workplace & Schedule

• Hybrid position based in Somerset, NJ. Candidates must be able to work on-site as required by the client.
• Contract-to-hire structure: initial contract period with potential for conversion to direct hire based on performance and business need.
