What You’ll Do

This is an entry-level Collections Analyst role on an IT-focused collections team supporting department operations and software tools. You will:

  • Conduct audits of departmental practices to help ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assist with reviewing internal controls and evaluating program efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support Systems Administrator and Systems Supervisor by helping customize tax software and third-party products provided by county vendors to meet departmental needs.
  • Provide basic operational support and routine training to Collections staff when appropriate.
  • Document findings, prepare clear audit notes, and communicate recommendations to supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Preference given for an associate or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field; OR
  • One year of experience in analytics, computer science, technology, or a related area.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and a drug screen.
  • Strong attention to detail, basic data/analytical skills, and effective written and verbal communication.
  • Comfortable learning and supporting tax or collections-related software tools.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Rate: $24.06 per hour (listed by the client; estimated annual pay ≈ $38,492).
