What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is recruiting CNO Developers to work on embedded software and reverse-engineering projects across multiple program levels (entry through principal). Work will include end-to-end software development and analysis tasks in C/C++ and Python, and activities that support vulnerability analysis, tooling, and integration with Linux internals.
- Design, implement, and test embedded software and system-level components in C/C++.
- Perform software reverse engineering and analysis using tools such as Ghidra and IDA Pro.
- Write and maintain Python scripts and tooling to support development, analysis, and automation.
- Integrate and test software on Linux-based targets; develop interfaces to OS internals when required.
- Create and maintain unit tests and automated test suites (e.g., GMock or similar).
- Support requirements analysis, configuration management, and systems documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities and propose mitigations.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following baseline requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline — or equivalent years of relevant experience.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with an appropriate polygraph (poly) — this is required.
- Hands-on software development experience in C/C++ on Linux or related environments.
- Demonstrated experience or training in reverse engineering or binary analysis.
- Strong problem-solving, written communication, and systems documentation skills.
Preferred / Strongly Desired Skills
- Advanced C/C++ development experience for embedded platforms.
- Python development for tooling, automation, and analysis.
- Practical experience with reverse engineering tools (Ghidra, IDA Pro, or similar).
- Experience interfacing software with Linux internals (Windows internals experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with common network protocols and standards.
- Unit testing expertise (GMock or comparable frameworks).
- Experience performing vulnerability analysis and remediation.
Other Details (Work Location, Telework & Clearance)
- This role supports telework/remote where allowed by program requirements; many positions may require minimal on-site presence.

- Work is based on program needs; candidates should be prepared for requests to work at customer facilities when required.
Compensation & Benefits
Confidential Client provides a competitive total compensation package and benefits. Representative salary guidance from the source posting (for informational purposes only):
- Entry level: $100,000 – $160,000 per year
- Mid level: $150,000 – $210,000 per year
- Senior level: $200,000 – $260,000 per year
