What You’ll Do

This is an entry-level CNC Programmer / CAD Technician role supporting a Confidential Client in the manufacturing industry. You will learn and apply CAD and CNC programming fundamentals while supporting daily machine-shop activities.

• Create and revise basic CNC programs for production parts using CAM/CAD tools
• Convert CAD models / engineering prints into machining programs
• Set up and verify CNC programs on the shop floor; support tooling and workholding setups
• Perform basic CNC machine troubleshooting and part inspection
• Work closely with machinists, engineers, and supervisors to optimize machining processes
• Keep accurate program and revision records; follow safety and quality procedures

What We’re Looking For

We seek motivated, practical learners who want hands-on experience in CAD and CNC programming. Ideal candidates include recent Computer Science or technical graduates and self-taught CNC programmers.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferred) OR equivalent hands-on experience
• Interest or experience with CAD, CNC programming, machining, or machine-shop operations
• Familiarity with HAAS CNC lathes is a plus
• Strong problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn new tooling and software
• Reliable, detail-oriented, good communication and teamwork skills

Position Details

• Location: On-site — Parlin, NJ (100% onsite required)
• Type: Contract-to-hire (expected 6–12 months)
• Compensation: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (flexible scheduling considered; full-time, part-time, or supplemental work/moonlighting may be possible)
• Employment model: Contractor assignment with potential conversion to direct hire
