What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an Entry-level CMT Field Engineer to support Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Special Inspection projects in the Atlanta metro area. This is a hands-on, field-first role (approximately 80% field / 20% office) with opportunities for career growth.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Staff and project engineering duties: data reduction, field data collection, and analysis for commercial, industrial, retail, government, office and residential projects
  • Perform field inspections, sampling and testing of soils/foundations, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, asphalt and related materials
  • Prepare clear, accurate inspection and test reports
  • Assist with project management, client communication and scheduling
  • Support teammates to meet project objectives and QA/QC standards

What We’re Looking For

Minimum / preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program (or equivalent international degree with NCEES credential evaluation) — required
  • 0–4+ years of experience in construction materials testing, special inspection, or related fieldwork — entry-level graduates encouraged to apply
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate preferred but not required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in outdoor/field conditions and traveling to job sites
  • Ability to follow procedures, maintain test records, and complete accurate reports

  • Estimated base: $63,071 per year (estimated)
  • Full-time employment with salaried pay plus overtime where applicable
