Clinical Research Coordinator II - Psychiatry
The Clinical Research Coordinator II supports the Principal Investigator in planning and executing clinical research studies focused on neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders. Responsibilities include participant recruitment, data collection, regulatory compliance, and managing both clinic-based and remote research activities involving cognitive and behavioral assessments, biomarker collection, and digital health technologies. What You’ll Do
This Clinical Research Coordinator II (remote-capable) will support the planning, implementation, and coordination of clinical research studies focused on neuropsychiatric and neurodegenerative disorders. You will work across clinic-based and remote study settings to support participant recruitment, data collection, regulatory compliance, study operations, and participant retention.
- Assist with recruitment and screening of study participants (phone, clinic, remote).
- Schedule and conduct study visits; complete follow-ups and source document abstraction.
- Administer cognitive, behavioral, functional, and patient-reported outcome measures.
- Support device setup, remote monitoring, adherence tracking, and troubleshooting for digital health tools, EEG, and noninvasive brain stimulation (tDCS/tACS).
- Collect, organize, and enter study data; perform QC checks of CRFs and resolve queries.
- Maintain regulatory binders, file IRB submissions, adverse event reports, and annual reviews.
- Coordinate site visits with study sponsors and support protocol compliance activities.
- Perform basic clinical assessments/tests as appropriate (e.g., EKGs, walk tests) and basic lab activities when needed.
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant records and adhere to FDA Good Clinical Practice guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree OR High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND four (4) years of related experience.
- At least two (2) years of research-related activities.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required depending on role assignments.
- Ability to work in both clinic and remote/telehealth research settings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Five (5) years of research-related experience, preferably in psychiatry, neurology, neuroscience, psychology, aging, or related clinical research.
- Experience in clinical trials and remote/telehealth research workflows.
- Familiarity with noninvasive brain stimulation (tDCS/tACS), EEG, neuroimaging, biomarkers, or digital health technologies.
- Certifications such as IATA Hazardous Good Shipping and CITI Human Research Protection.
Skills & Abilities
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with electronic data capture, word processing, and research documentation.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage timelines in a dynamic research environment.
- Systematic record-keeping and problem-solving for protocol compliance.
Physical Requirements
- Typical clinical and administrative office setting duties; periodic activity related to clinic assessments and participant interactions.
Compensation & Location
- Employment Type: Full time.
- Location: Remote / TELECOMMUTE (role supports US-based participation and remote work).
- Pay Range: $47,924.24 - $59,894.75 (base pay range reflects minimum qualifications; final offers consider experience, certifications, education, and internal equity).
