What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) on a temporary 3-month contract in Los Angeles, CA to support analytical testing and research activities. This role works Monday–Friday (day shift) and reports to senior scientists.
- Conduct research experiments and reliably collect and document data under guidance.
- Run analytical assays and interpret results (plate reader assays, mass spectrometry, microscopy).
- Perform tissue/cell culture tasks and support assay development workflows.
- Prepare reagents, maintain lab equipment, and ensure instrument QC where assigned.
- Maintain organized, accurate laboratory records and assist with research reports.
- Participate in team meetings and communicate experimental progress.
- Follow laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
- Support animal handling tasks per protocols when needed.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
- Previous hands-on experience in a research laboratory setting.
- Experience with tissue/cell culture and plate-reader assays.
- Familiarity with analytical testing techniques and basic instrument operation.
- Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Preferred
- Experience with mass spectrometry and microscopy.
- Prior experience handling mice or other small research animals.
- Background in drug-discovery workflows or assay development.
Compensation & Schedule
- Pay range: $43–45 per hour (hourly rate provided by our client).
- Shift: Monday–Friday, day shift.
- Contract length: 3 months with possible extension.
- Location: Los Angeles, CA (on-site).
