What You’ll Do

The Confidential Client’s Plastic Surgery research team is hiring an entry-level Clinical Research Assistant to support ongoing burn and plastic surgery studies. You will work under the direction of investigators and research staff to ensure study activities are completed accurately and on schedule.

  • Research data collection and accurate data entry
  • Provide administrative support (licensure/credentialing assistance, scheduling, procurement, correspondence)
  • Assist the Principal Investigator with administrative tasks
  • Edit and format grant proposals and manuscripts
  • Maintain regulatory study paperwork and follow study protocols
  • Recruit, evaluate, and educate patients about clinical trials
  • Conduct informed consent interviews with participants
  • Document trial-related activities and ensure timely, accurate reporting of study data
  • Coordinate participant visit activities: schedule procedures, communicate with subjects, and complete basic study procedures
  • Assist with transport/shipping of biological specimens between sites
  • Prepare written and verbal reports for study leadership

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum two (2) years relevant work experience (relevant education may substitute year-for-year)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Basic computer skills and strong written/verbal communication
  • Comfort interacting with patients and clinical teams

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, genetics, pre-med, or related field
  • Experience in biomedical research (internship, volunteer, or employment)
  • Prior cancer-related or clinical research exposure
  • Familiarity with clinical research regulations (GCP, HIPAA)
  • Experience using electronic medical records
  • Experience with EndNote, PubMed, or reference management tools

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay range: $22.88 - $33.17 per hour (Confidential Client’s compensation program uses market data, education, and experience to determine starting pay within this range)
  • Employment type: Contract — Full time
