What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Clinical Lab Technician. You will work under the technical oversight of a Clinical Lab Scientist to process clinical specimens, maintain documentation and perform routine lab operations.

  • Participate in specimen testing according to established procedures under the oversight of a Clinical Lab Scientist
  • Record receipt, in-use, and expiration dates for reagents, kits, controls, and standards; ensure materials are not expired
  • Perform pipetting with pre-set devices, calibrated automatic devices, or fixed-volume dispensers
  • Perform and document preventative maintenance (PM) on equipment; escalate complex instrument issues to appropriate personnel
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and safety requirements (CLIA, CAP and other applicable regulatory bodies)
  • Document instrument function checks, troubleshooting steps, quality control, and PM logs to support regulatory compliance
  • Develop understanding of laboratory medicine and the clinical significance of laboratory results

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or equivalent

Preferred qualifications:

  • Current or prior experience with Confidential Client (or similar laboratory)
  • 1+ year of laboratory experience

Schedule & Compensation

  • Employment type: Contract
  • Work schedule: Monday, Thursday–Saturday; 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Pay range: $24.00 – $30.00 per hour
  • Plus applicable shift differential for qualifying shifts

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, internal equity, and market data.

Additional Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Proficient with computers and familiar with laboratory information systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team
  • High attention to detail, strong communication and organizational skills
  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
  • Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts as business needs require
