Role Overview
Confidential Client is seeking experienced and entry-level Clinical Laboratory Scientists (CLS 1, CLS 2, CLS 3) to join their Laboratory team. Opportunities are available as full-time contractor roles. Candidates at all levels should be prepared to work within a clinical laboratory environment, support quality assurance, and follow regulatory and departmental procedures.

This position is posted as Full time / Contractor.
Pay information (starting rates; final placement based on experience and applicable rules):
- CLS 1 — starts at $43.24 per hour
- CLS 2 — starts at $45.86 per hour
- CLS 3 — starts at $47.99 per hour
Pay placement for internal hires will follow applicable rules or union contract terms; external hires will be placed based on relevant experience.
What You’ll Do
The exact duties depend on level (CLS 1–3). Typical responsibilities include:
- Perform clinical laboratory testing and analysis on patient specimens using standard methodologies
- Follow departmental procedures, quality assurance protocols, and regulatory requirements
- Validate and document test results and troubleshoot instrument issues
- Maintain accurate records, reagent/inventory control, and equipment maintenance logs
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and laboratory process improvements
- Serve as a resource to other laboratory staff (CLS 2) and provide technical leadership for complex testing and problem resolution (CLS 3)
- Demonstrate ongoing competency development across assigned laboratory sections
Minimum Qualifications
CLS 1:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related science
- No prior laboratory experience required
- ASCP MLS/MT certification or equivalent required
CLS 2:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related science
- Minimum 1 year of clinical laboratory experience performing medical testing
- ASCP MLS/MT certification or equivalent required
CLS 3:
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related science
- Minimum 3 years of clinical laboratory experience performing medical testing
- ASCP MLS/MT certification or equivalent required
License(s): None required for this role as posted.
