What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking a Clinical Dietitian (Per Diem) to provide outpatient pediatric nutrition services in a Pediatric Multispecialty Clinic. This role focuses on individual patient assessment, nutrition care planning, documentation, and family education.

• Accurately assess pediatric nutritional status using medical history, physical assessment, labs, anthropometrics, and diet history.
• Develop individualized nutrition care plans that consider age, development, social/cultural factors, medical condition, and co-morbidities.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and families in a clear, culturally sensitive manner.
• Document assessments, interventions, and monitoring in the medical record following established models of nutrition care.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in patient care planning.
• Maintain compliance with clinical standards, charting requirements, and confidentiality policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field.
• Minimum: Registered Dietitian Eligible (RD credential to be obtained within 6 months of hire).
• Preferred: Registered Dietitian (RD) credential.
• Completion of an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics–accredited internship (minimum).
• Preferred: 0–3 years' clinical dietitian experience, especially in pediatrics.

Required Certifications & Clearances

• Current California Food Handlers Card or ServSafe certificate.
• CCS paneling is required.
• Any state-mandated clearances and background checks required for clinical staff.

Technical Skills & Systems

• Basic computer skills (MS Word).
• Preferred experience with nutrition software (e.g., Compatriot, Food Processor) and Epic Systems.
• Strong documentation skills and familiarity with electronic health records.

Schedule & Compensation

• Status: Per Diem — 8-hour day shifts (Pediatric Multispecialty Clinic).
• Employment type per source: Full time/Per diem classification represented in posting.
• Estimated pay (source): $94,868 per year (estimated).
