What You’ll Do
The Clinical Dietitian provides patient-centered nutrition care in hospital and outpatient settings. You will assess nutritional needs, develop individualized plans, educate patients and families, and work closely with interdisciplinary care teams to improve outcomes.
- Assess patients’ nutrition status and develop individualized nutrition care plans
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to implement nutrition interventions and clinical protocols
- Monitor patient progress, document care, and adjust plans as needed
- Participate in quality improvement activities and keep current with evidence-based clinical nutrition practices
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field
- Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential
- Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Dietitian in Arkansas (or the state of employment)
- Ability to work effectively in clinical and foodservice environments (hospital rooms, patient floors, kitchen/serving areas)
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills
- Authorization to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of clinical dietetics experience (preferred)
- Experience with electronic health records and clinical nutrition documentation
- Familiarity with acute care and outpatient nutrition protocols
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively on multidisciplinary teams
Working Conditions & Additional Details
- This is a full-time clinical role that may include hospital shifts, outpatient clinic coverage, and occasional travel between client sites.
- The position requires standing, walking between patient rooms and foodservice areas, and occasional lifting consistent with clinical duties.
- Duties may change as required to meet client and regulatory needs.
