About the Role
Confidential Client is seeking a Clinical Dietitian (Culinary/Nutrition) for a part-time, contract position in Centerville, OH. In this role you will provide medical nutrition therapy (MNT), develop individualized nutrition care plans, and support optimal patient outcomes across inpatient and outpatient settings. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams and contribute to nutrition-related programs and patient education.
Responsibilities
- Provide medical nutrition therapy: assess nutritional needs, create and implement individualized care plans, and monitor progress.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing, physicians, and ancillary staff to optimize patient care.
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic diets, nutrition-related disease management, and safe feeding practices.
- Document nutrition assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
- Support quality, safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives related to nutrition services.
- Participate in menu/culinary nutrition initiatives and coordinate with foodservice as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned that support patient safety and quality care.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field from an ACEND-accredited program.
- Completion of an accredited dietetic internship with a minimum of 1,000 supervised practice hours.
- Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- State of Ohio Dietitian License — must be obtained prior to start date, in accordance with Ohio law.
- Experience in a clinical nutrition setting (hospital or healthcare facility) is typical; entry-level candidates may be considered if licensure requirements are met.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field.
- One or more years of experience providing medical nutrition therapy in an acute care or outpatient setting.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and patient-education skills.
