What You’ll Do
Clinical Dietician I in Alamogordo, NM — provide patient-centered nutrition assessment, care planning, and education across care settings on behalf of our confidential client.
- Provide comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans based on medical status, life stage, preferences, and goals.
- Implement and monitor nutrition interventions; update care plans and coordinate discharge planning as needed.
- Deliver medical nutrition therapy and nutrition education to patients, residents, families, and clinical staff.
- Collaborate with clinical teams and culinary/foodservice departments to manage special diets, menus, and nutrition-related processes.
- Maintain clinical documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations, privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA), and organizational policies.
- Monitor program quality, propose improvements, and escalate issues with recommended solutions.
- Stay current with evidence-based nutrition practice, certifications, and professional standards.
What We’re Looking For
Education & professional background required to be considered for this Clinical Dietician I role:
- Bachelor’s degree in nutrition from an accredited college or university (required).
- Minimum of 24 hours of nutrition coursework and successful completion of a clinical internship in dietetics (required).
- Master’s degree in a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience providing nutrition education or clinical dietetic services across life stages (pediatric through geriatric).
- Ability to perform nutrition interventions across the lifecycle (pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric).
Licenses & certifications:
- Proof of licensure/registration as an RD (Registered Dietitian) required.
- Valid Class A driver’s license and current automobile insurance required (as noted by the hiring client).
