Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Clean Transportation Researcher to support research and analysis on vehicle electrification, alternative fuels, emission reduction, transportation decarbonization, and advanced transportation technologies. This full-time, entry-level role is expected to begin Summer 2027 and will be performed in a hybrid arrangement based in South Waltham, MA. Work will include market research, data collection, technical writing, and supporting client-facing deliverables for federal and public-sector clients.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct research on electric vehicles (EVs), alternative fuels, and related market, policy, and technology trends
• Analyze locations and needs for EV charging infrastructure and stations for alternative fuels
• Collect, clean, and maintain datasets for market and infrastructure analysis
• Prepare reports, presentations, fact sheets, and case studies for clients and stakeholders
• Support outreach, training, webinars, and in-person events to communicate findings and recommendations
• Collaborate with project teams to develop accurate, timely, and high-quality deliverables
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements and present results

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in transportation, environmental science, energy, public policy, or a related field
• Demonstrated interest in clean transportation, EVs, or alternative fuels
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in teams and manage multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with policy and regulatory issues related to transportation energy and alternative fuels
• Experience or coursework related to EV charging infrastructure analysis or alternative fuel station planning
• Background in public-agency consulting, program implementation, or federal client projects
• Experience with market research, data collection, and basic data analysis tools (Excel, GIS, or similar)
• Experience producing outreach materials, presentations, or training resources

Compensation & Location

• Location: South Waltham, MA (hybrid) — primary workplace and job location for this posting
• Pay Range (full-time): $55,424.00 — $94,221.00 per year. Final pay will consider experience, skills, location, and other factors. The role is anticipated to have pay in the mid-$60K range for many hires.
