Primary Purpose
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Claims Representative to join a workers’ compensation training program based in Topeka, KS. This is a structured, office-based role that begins with a comprehensive, paid training program (4 weeks of concept-based learning plus onboarding and mentor support) designed to prepare you for claims adjusting and career growth within the organization.

What You’ll Do / Essential Responsibilities
- Attend and complete the designated claims professional training program and onboarding.
- Adjust workers’ compensation claims under close supervision while you learn.
- Process and respond to incoming mail, email, and claim-related documents according to claim status.
- Communicate professionally with injured workers, employers/insureds, medical providers, attorneys and carrier representatives via phone, video, and email.
- Gather and analyze relevant claim information (medical records, employer reports, witness statements).
- Investigate employer/employee relationships, verify policy coverage, and identify potential subrogation or fraud indicators.
- Determine coverage, compensability, and appropriate benefits in accordance with jurisdictional rules and carrier program requirements.
- Document claims files, code activity accurately, and prepare reports with findings and recommendations.
- Administer indemnity and medical benefits, maintain calendared action items, and ensure state compliance.
- Participate in virtual and/or in‑person training sessions, claim reviews, and team meetings as required.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 0–2 years customer service or related experience preferred; combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Comfortable using standard office software and learning claims systems.
- Ability to meet attendance and training schedules.
Compensation & Benefits
As required by law, Confidential Client provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency. For the jurisdiction noted in this posting, the stated starting pay is $25.65/hr. Estimated annual compensation (market estimate) for this role is approximately $66,099/year — actual pay depends on factors such as experience and location.
