Overview

Confidential client is hiring an entry-level Claims Representative (IAP) for a Workers' Compensation Training Program in Roseville, CA. This is an onsite, full-time training-to-role program designed to onboard new industry professionals through a structured, instructor-led curriculum followed by on-the-job mentoring. Ideal for strong communicators who want a career path in claims adjusting and workers' compensation.


What You’ll Do

This role starts with a 4-week, concept-based training program and dedicated onboarding before full claims duties. While learning, you will:

  • Attend and complete the designated claims professional training program and onboarding.
  • Process and respond to incoming claim-related mail, emails and documents.
  • Communicate with injured workers, employers/insureds, medical providers, attorneys and carrier representatives via phone, video and email.
  • Gather and review medical records, employer reports and witness statements to investigate claims.
  • Verify employer/employee relationships, policy coverage, potential subrogation and fraud indicators.
  • Determine coverage, compensability and appropriate benefits according to jurisdictional and client guidelines.
  • Document claims activity, code files correctly, and prepare clear reports with findings and recommendations.
  • Administer claim benefits (medical and indemnity) and maintain calendared action items to ensure state compliance.
  • Participate in virtual and/or in-person meetings, claim reviews and training sessions.
  • Work under close supervision while progressing toward independent claim handling.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 0–2 years customer service experience preferred; combinations of education and experience considered.
  • Skills: Clear judgment, problem solving, attention to detail, basic computer and keyboarding proficiency, and strong verbal/written communication.
  • Ability to manage work-related stress and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting pay (for this jurisdiction): $27.69 per hour (as disclosed for roles hired in this posting’s jurisdiction).
