Claims Representative (IAP) -Workers Compensation Training Program

What You’ll Do
- Complete a comprehensive 4-week concept-based workers' compensation training program and a structured onboarding experience.
- Adjust and assist with workers' compensation claims under close supervision.
- Process incoming claim correspondence (mail, email, electronic documents) and update claim status.
- Communicate professionally with injured workers, employers/insureds, medical providers, attorneys, and carrier representatives by phone, video, and email.
- Gather and review medical records, employer reports, witness statements, and other evidence to investigate claims.
- Verify policy coverage, investigate employer/employee relationships, and identify potential subrogation or fraud indicators.
- Determine coverage, compensability, and appropriate benefits per jurisdictional rules and carrier program requirements.
- Document claim files, properly code activity, and prepare clear reports with findings and recommendations.
- Administer claim benefits (medical and indemnity) and maintain calendared action items to meet state compliance deadlines.
- Participate in virtual or in-person meetings, claim reviews, and ongoing training sessions.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 0–2 years customer service experience preferred; combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Ability to pass background checks and any role-specific screening required by the client.

- Role begins with a dedicated training program and assigned mentor/manager.
- Next class date: 10/12/26.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay for the jurisdiction noted (Jackson, MS): $25.65/hr.
- Estimated annual compensation (for reference only): $59,416 per year (estimated).
- Comprehensive benefits package may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with matching, PTO, disability and life insurance, employee assistance, and flexible spending/HSA options.
- Actual pay may vary based on experience, skills, and location-specific factors.
