Role overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Claims Representative (IAP) for a Workers' Compensation Training Program based in Frankfort, KY. This full-time, office-based position begins with a structured, instructor-led training program designed to prepare you for a career in claims adjusting. The training includes classroom learning, mentoring, and a guided onboarding period before you begin handling claims with supervision.


Training & onboarding

  • Comprehensive 4-week concept-based training program followed by role-specific onboarding
  • Assigned mentor and manager for ongoing coaching and career development
  • Next class date: 10/12/2026 (start dates subject to change)

What you’ll do (Essential responsibilities)

  • Complete all training and onboarding milestones necessary to progress to on-the-job claim handling
  • Adjust workers' compensation claims under close supervision
  • Process and respond to incoming mail, emails, and claim-related documents
  • Communicate professionally by phone, video, and email with injured workers, employers, medical providers, attorneys, and carriers
  • Investigate claims: gather medical records, employer reports, witness statements, and other relevant documentation
  • Verify policy coverage, assess compensability, and identify potential subrogation or fraud indicators
  • Document claim activity thoroughly and prepare clear, well-coded file notes and reports
  • Administer indemnity and medical benefits while maintaining calendared action items to ensure compliance with jurisdictional requirements
  • Participate in case reviews, training sessions, and team meetings (virtual or in-person)

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience: 0–2 years preferred; customer service experience is helpful but not required—this is an entry-level trainee role
  • Technical: Comfortable using standard office software and telephony systems
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Compensation & benefits

  • Starting pay for the jurisdiction noted in this posting: $25.65 per hour (estimated annual pay approximately $70,275)
