This entry-level Claims Representative role in Davenport, IA is a hands-on opportunity to launch a career in auto claims within the non-standard auto segment. You will receive structured training, mentor support, and real-claim experience while building investigative, communication, and claims-evaluation skills. What You’ll Do
- Verify coverage, compensability, and reasonable payments by reviewing policies, accident details, police reports, and other claim documentation.
- Conduct investigations: take and review recorded statements from involved parties and witnesses and evaluate evidence.
- Establish and manage timely claim reserves and document exposure assessments.
- Maintain clear, professional communication with claimants — explain processes, status updates, and claim decisions with empathy.
- Accurately document all claim activity, correspondence, and rationale to ensure regulatory and policy compliance.
- Obtain and maintain any required state insurance licensing and complete assigned training and development milestones.
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Demonstrated customer service experience; prior insurance experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good time-management and organizational ability.
- Comfortable with basic technology and claims systems; quick learner with attention to detail.
- Ability to travel occasionally as required for job duties.
