Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Claims Representative in Bettendorf, IA (hybrid). This is an in-office role with optional work-from-home on Mondays and Fridays and on-site collaboration Tuesday–Thursday. This position focuses on auto claims within a Non-Standard Auto unit and provides hands-on training, mentorship, and clear career progression.

What You’ll Do

• Gain knowledge to verify coverage, compensability, and reasonable payments by reviewing policies, accident details, and claim-related documentation.
• Develop investigative skills: take and review recorded statements, analyze police reports and physical evidence, and collect relevant documentation.
• Evaluate claims exposure and establish timely and appropriate reserves.
• Comply with industry regulations, legal requirements, and internal policies; document decisions, correspondence, and key discussions throughout the lifecycle of a claim.
• Support customers with empathy, clearly explain the claims process and status, and communicate decisions with rationale.
• Obtain and maintain required state adjuster licensing as needed for assigned jurisdictions.

What It Takes (Qualifications)

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Previous insurance-related, claims, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Comfortable using technology and claims systems; demonstrated aptitude for learning new software.
• Ability to travel as needed to meet job responsibilities.
• Must be willing/able to obtain and maintain any state licensing required for this role.
