Role overview
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Claims Auto Adjuster in Santa Clarita, CA. This full‑time role supports auto claims operations by handling material damage, property damage, and liability claims under moderate supervision. You will investigate liability, evaluate coverage, review estimates, and negotiate claim resolutions within defined authority and guidelines.
What You’ll Do
- Communicate with insureds, claimants, and witnesses to verify and explain benefits, coverage, fault, and the claims process.
- Conduct investigations to establish facts, liability, and damages; obtain statements and evidence.
- Review estimates and material-damage reports; analyze liability and coverage.
- Negotiate settlements with claimants and insureds within settlement authority.
- Use claims technology and tools to document files and process claims.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners as needed.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and service needs.
- May be required to work overtime or holidays occasionally.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- No prior claims experience required — training provided.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer use.
- Strong organization, planning, written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and customer-service skills.
- Property & Casualty insurance license required or ability to obtain required adjuster/license for the selling state (may be required within 60 days).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; candidate screening and background checks may apply.
Compensation & Benefits
- Starting pay: $25.48 – $28.03 per hour.

Location & Licensure
- Location: Santa Clarita, CA (Los Angeles County).
- Licensing: You may be required to obtain an Adjuster license in accordance with state law within 60 days of hire, as applicable.
