What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Civil Project Engineer to support site development, municipal, K–12 and higher-education, healthcare, parks, and Department of Defense projects. You will work with project teams and clients to prepare civil engineering designs, calculations, and construction documentation.

• Prepare civil site development design and construction documents for grading, drainage, sanitary sewer, potable water, and utility improvements.
• Produce calculations and reports for stormwater, drainage, and site grading.
• Develop plan sets and details in AutoCAD (and Civil 3D where applicable).
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams (landscape architecture, survey, planning) and with clients, contractors, and permitting agencies.
• Support site visits, field verification, and construction observation as required.
• Communicate clearly in writing and verbally; keep project schedules and documentation organized.
• Assist senior engineers on design development, permitting submittals, and bid-phase deliverables.

What We’re Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn.

Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills

• Experience or familiarity with stormwater modeling (WWHM, MGS Flood, etc.).
• Familiarity with Civil 3D.
• Experience preparing storm drainage reports and permit packages.

Compensation & Benefits

This role may be filled at either Project Engineer I or Project Engineer II level; final level and pay will be based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.

• Project Engineer I: $32.93 - $41.35 per hour (hourly range provided by client).
• Annual discretionary performance-based bonus.
