What You’ll Do

Confidential client is hiring an entry-level Civil/Environmental Engineer to support grading, drainage, erosion & sediment (E&S) control design, and NPDES permitting for projects including pipeline and transmission line rights‑of‑way, energy facilities, and commercial/industrial sites. This role is remote‑eligible with project site travel as required.

  • Prepare grading, drainage, and erosion & sediment control (E&S) plans for rights‑of‑way, energy facilities, commercial, and industrial sites
  • Develop Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), NPDES permit applications, Notices of Intent (NOIs), and all supporting documentation
  • Ensure plans and permit documents meet federal, state, and local regulations and industry standards
  • Coordinate plan reviews and permitting with regulatory agencies, soil & water conservation districts, and utility clients
  • Work with survey, construction, and environmental teams to keep projects on schedule and in compliance
  • Support field visits and site assessments when required

Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program
  • EIT certification preferred or in progress
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites (including remote right‑of‑way locations) as needed
  • Entry‑level or early career candidates encouraged to apply

Technical Skills

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and GIS
  • Experience or familiarity with hydrologic/hydraulic tools (e.g., HydroCAD, TR‑55) is a plus
  • Willingness and ability to learn and apply the Clean Water Act, NPDES regulations, and state construction stormwater general permits
  • Ability to use state and local E&S handbooks and stormwater design manuals for plan development

  • Effective organization and time management, including tracking permit deadlines
  • Self-starter attitude with a collaborative approach to team work and problem solving

Compensation & Location

  • Estimated pay: $71,563 per year (estimated)
  • Location: Collier, PA — remote‑eligible with required travel to project sites
