What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Civil Engineering Associate (Transportation) to support transportation design, construction engineering, and materials testing. This role combines office-based design work with field construction engineering.

• Prepare and develop construction and design documents and plans
• Assist with construction engineering activities and field support
• Perform basic engineering and design calculations
• Conduct construction materials testing for concrete, soils, and related items
• Collaborate with experienced engineers and local/government agency clients

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited program
• Degree concentration in transportation preferred
• 0–2 years of civil engineering experience (entry-level)
• FE / EIT certification preferred
• Experience with IDOT and local agency projects preferred
• MicroStation or AutoCAD experience preferred
• Ability and willingness to work in the field for construction engineering projects
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Compensation & Location

• Location: Vets Row, IL (on-site / field work as required)
• Employment type: Full-time
• Salary range (Illinois pay transparency): $69,000—$73,000 USD (range provided by client)
• Compensation will be determined by education, experience, skills, and internal/external equity
