What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is looking for a motivated Civil Engineer to join a collaborative, mentorship-focused engineering team in Stamford, CT. This role is ideal for recent graduates and early-career engineers seeking hands-on experience in land development and site design.
- Assist with design and development of site and land development projects.
- Perform engineering calculations for grading, drainage, utilities, and site layout.
- Produce and revise design plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
- Support project delivery from concept through construction by coordinating with project managers, engineers, drafters, and contractors.
- Research applicable design standards, local regulations, and permitting requirements.
- Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and design recommendations.
- Help with project planning, budgeting, and scheduling tasks.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders as required.
- Follow all safety practices and company quality standards.
- Grow into expanded responsibilities with mentorship and on-the-job training.
Qualifications (Required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Strong interest in site design, land development, or civil infrastructure projects.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with drainage, grading, and stormwater management principles.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or the ability to obtain it shortly after hire.
- 0–3 years of related experience (entry-level candidates encouraged).
