Role Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Civil Engineer (Contract) to support onsite/field civil site design and land development work near Crown Point, IN. This is a hands-on, first-shift role (Monday–Friday). The position is fully onsite and requires reliable commuting to Crown Point.

What You’ll Do

• Support civil site design and land development projects under direction of senior engineers
• Produce and revise technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Assist with grading, stormwater, utility, and roadway plan development and calculations
• Visit and assess field sites; gather data and help coordinate site surveys
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and permit submittals
• Communicate project status with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders
• Learn from mentors and contribute to project deliverables with increasing independence

Must-have Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (required)
• 0–2 years of civil site design or land development experience — internships and co-ops welcome
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness and ability to work onsite and commute to Crown Point, IN

• Internship or co-op experience on land development projects
• Experience with stormwater design, grading plans, or utility layout
• EIT certification or active pursuit of professional licensure
• Field experience or comfort visiting construction sites

Pay & Benefits

• The pay range for this position is $70,000.00 - $120,000.00/hr (as listed).
• Actual compensation within the range will depend on experience, qualifications, job knowledge, geographic location, and other job-related factors.
