Role Overview

Confidential Client is hiring an Entry‑Level Civil Engineer to join their design team in Bucyrus, MO. This primarily desk-focused, contract‑to‑hire role will support civil engineering projects through CAD drafting, plan production, and coordination with project teams. This is a strong opportunity for early‑career engineers to develop practical design skills across site development, roadway, and utility projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare civil engineering design plans and construction documents using AutoCAD.
• Assist with site development, grading, drainage, utility, and roadway design tasks.
• Support project teams with drafting, engineering calculations, data organization, and plan revisions.
• Coordinate with engineers, project managers, surveyors, and clients to deliver high‑quality project documents.
• Review project requirements, standards, and specifications to ensure compliance.
• Participate in quality control reviews and maintain project documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 6 months to 1 year of civil engineering experience (employment, internships, or co‑op experience accepted).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment.

Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have

• Experience with Civil 3D.
• Prior experience working on municipal, site development, or transportation projects.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay range: $34.00 - $48.00 per hour.
