Job Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a Civil Construction Project Manager to support delivery of heavy civil and sitework projects. This role is ideal for early-career professionals or recent graduates with a degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management who want hands-on field experience and a path into project leadership. You will work closely with project leadership and field crews to keep work on schedule, on budget, and in compliance with client and federal requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Interpret civil construction plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure accurate execution.
- Assist with reviewing and managing project submittals and subcontracts.
- Generate purchase orders and track material deliveries.
- Support project scheduling and coordinate subcontractors and vendors.
- Prepare and organize daily field reports and other project documentation for leadership review.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and client requirements (including requirements for federal contract work).
- Provide general support to Project Managers and Superintendents as needed.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship (required for work on certain federal projects).
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required) or Construction Management (preferred).
- 0–2 years of experience in heavy civil construction preferred; entry-level candidates with strong academic records are encouraged.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to pass state and federal professional reviews/access screenings for military bases and federal facilities.
- Civil Engineer (PE) license or active progress toward licensure is a plus.
- Willingness to travel to project sites and, if needed, relocate to one of the client’s regional offices.

Schedule & Location

- Typical schedule: Monday–Friday
- Authoritative location for this listing: Rosslyn, VA (work will include regional project sites)
- This position may require relocation to one of Confidential Client’s offices: Biloxi, MS; Newbern, TN; Dunkirk, MD. Projects will require travel to various sites; per diem is provided when applicable.
Compensation
- Base salary range (provided by employer): $85,000 – $120,000 per year, plus performance-based bonuses. Actual salary will depend on experience and location and will comply with applicable pay-transparency laws.
