Role overview

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level CI/CD Infrastructure Software Engineer to support the day-to-day health of its development ecosystem in Centennial, CO. This is an early-career opportunity to gain hands-on experience with CI/CD tooling, DevSecOps operations, Linux, and basic automation while working alongside senior engineers.

What you’ll do

• Support pipeline triage and initial troubleshooting for failed builds and GitLab pipeline errors
• Assist with basic runner connectivity checks and routine runner refresh tasks
• Run routine security scans (SAST/DAST/dependency checks) and gather/report findings per runbooks
• Maintain artifacts and repository hygiene in Artifactory and similar systems under guidance
• Update configuration settings and help with simple repository cleanup and tagging tasks
• Follow documented procedures and escalate more complex issues to senior engineers
• Participate in cross-team meetings and provide timely operational updates

Key technologies & responsibilities (entry level)

• Foundational CI/CD concepts and version control (GitLab pipelines, runners)
• Artifact storage basics (JFrog Artifactory) and code-quality scanning concepts (SonarQube)
• Basic DevSecOps awareness: vulnerability scanning, CVE awareness, dependency analysis
• Introductory scripting for operational tasks (Python, Bash, PowerShell) — log collection, repeatable tasks
• Linux command-line exposure: basic checks, file permissions, service health checks

What we’re looking for — required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) from an accredited institution
• Familiarity with DevOps, software engineering, IT operations, cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline
• Basic familiarity with CI/CD concepts and GitLab
• Exposure to Linux command line and scripting fundamentals
• Ability to follow runbooks, execute repeatable tasks reliably, and document findings
• Strong interest in building a career in DevSecOps, CI/CD, and cloud-aligned engineering

Preferred qualifications

• Introductory, hands-on experience with GitLab, Artifactory, SonarQube or similar tools
• Exposure to security scanning or vulnerability management workflows
• Familiarity with Python or another scripting language
• Relevant coursework, internships, or personal projects involving pipelines, automation, or cloud engineering

Compensation & benefits

• Summary salary range (Centennial, CO): $77,111 — $128,518 (annual)
• Salaries depend on experience, qualifications, internal equity and market factors. Eligible employees may receive discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay.
• Typical benefits may include 401(k) match plus employer contribution, discretionary incentive bonuses (where applicable), generous paid time off, flexible work arrangements, and other standard benefits. Some salaried roles may follow an alternate schedule (e.g., 9/80) — details depend on the hiring team and role.
• This posting follows Colorado pay-transparency requirements by including a salary range for Centennial, CO.
