Position Overview

Confidential Client is seeking an Outpatient Biopsychosocial Intervention (OBI) Case Manager (QIDP track) to provide trauma-informed case management, skills training, and recovery-focused treatment planning to adults (18+) across Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle service area. This is a full-time clinical support role that offers career development within a multi-disciplinary team.


What You’ll Do

  • Maintain ethical, trauma-informed, and professional communications with clients, families, and community partners.
  • Travel across the service area (top 21 counties in the Texas Panhandle) to deliver in-person services and supports.
  • Provide biopsychosocial assessments, develop person-centered treatment plans, and implement case management interventions per policy and Medicaid/HCS guidelines.
  • Coordinate services across IDD and behavioral health (BH) teams using a cross-systems biopsychosocial approach.
  • Deliver skills training to program participants, parents, and support systems.
  • Make community referrals and connect individuals to consultations and specialized supports.
  • Monitor client progress and document outcomes using required monitoring/review tools; meet documentation timelines and OBI Statement of Work requirements.
  • Educate and train community mental health and substance use partners on best practices and available resources.
  • Adhere to organizational business conduct and report concerns about ethical or business standard breaches.

Qualifications & Credentials (Required)

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in a social, behavioral, or human service field (examples: Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Rehabilitation, Human Development, Nursing, Education, Criminal Justice) — qualifying for QIDP credentialing.
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). (See experience tiering below for level-based options.)
  • Valid Texas driver’s license with an insurable driving record and willingness to travel across the service region.
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to use a personal mobile phone for two-factor authentication (2FA) may be required as part of agency security procedures.

Experience Tiering & Compensation

  • Case Manager I (Entry) — $40,809.60 / year: No prior experience required.
  • Case Manager II — $43,305.60 / year: Minimum 1 year of case management experience or IDD service coordination.
  • Case Manager III — $46,009.60 / year: Minimum 2 years of case management experience or IDD service coordination.
  • Graduate-level coursework in a related field may substitute for up to one year of required experience.

Note: The posted salary range ($40,809.60–$46,009.60) is based on experience tiering and is provided by the client.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a strong plus.
  • Experience with Medicaid rules, HCS standards, and community-based IDD/BH service models.
