What You’ll Do

Under direct supervision, you will provide field-based, housing-focused case management and behavioral health support that helps individuals with serious mental illness and co-occurring disorders live as independently as possible. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Provide mobile, community-based case management and wellness checks at permanent supportive housing, scattered-site apartments, and other transitional housing.
  • Facilitate wellness groups, skill-building activities, and housing-stabilization services.
  • Support behavioral health and substance-use interventions, crisis response, and conflict resolution.
  • Coordinate with property managers, community providers, and supports to prevent eviction and promote successful tenancy.
  • Transport clients to appointments and group activities when needed (use of personal vehicle required — see qualifications).

Who You Are / Qualifications

Minimum required qualifications — candidates who meet these will be invited to interview:

  • High school diploma or GED and at least two (2) years of direct service experience in mental health or community services; OR
  • Associate degree plus one (1) year of relevant experience; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Services or related field.
  • Valid, current driver’s license and personal vehicle insurance with your name listed as an insured driver.
  • Willingness to use your personal vehicle to transport clients as part of job duties.

Compensation & Schedule

  • Expected starting wage: $23.00 per hour (starting pay is commensurate with experience and may vary by location due to geographic differentials).
  • Estimated annual pay (per job data aggregation): ~$66,853 per year (estimate varies by schedule/location).
  • Employment type: Part-time / Permanent (see posting); hours may include standard daytime shifts.
  • Example shift: AM, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday (full-time schedules may also be available).

Home First FSP (Full Service Partnership) delivers intensive housing-focused supports to individuals at risk of losing housing in the Central region of Orange County. Staff operate with a fully mobile, field-based case management approach, delivering services onsite at residences and supportive housing developments. The program emphasizes successful tenancy, eviction avoidance, community integration, and recovery-focused behavioral health interventions.
