The Career Development Liaison supports candidates and caregivers in advancing their careers into licensed and certified clinical roles by providing coaching, removing barriers, and managing career pathway strategies. This role collaborates closely with leadership and external partners to build sustainable talent pipelines and ensure effective execution of workforce development initiatives, requiring regular in-person engagement across operational settings.

What You’ll Do
The Career Development Liaison supports candidates and caregivers as they pursue licensed and certified clinical roles. You will connect individuals at different career stages with internal and external resources, career pathway opportunities, and operational leaders to strengthen the clinical talent pipeline.
- Provide one-on-one and group career coaching (in-person and virtual) for candidates and caregivers seeking clinical licensure or certification.
- Help individuals understand licensure, certification, education, and clinical experience requirements.
- Create clear, actionable career roadmaps that align personal goals with organizational workforce needs.
- Support transitions such as securing resources, arranging flexible employment, pre‑licensure preparation, certification completion, and role advancement.
- Facilitate workshops and sessions on resume writing, interviewing, and professional skills.
- Track and support participants in talent pipelines; monitor milestones and readiness indicators.
- Partner with hospital and ambulatory leaders to design and execute pipeline strategies for high‑need or hard‑to‑fill clinical roles.
- Design and manage structured pathway programs (apprenticeships, internships, earn-while-you-learn models).
- Collaborate with community colleges, vocational programs, and workforce agencies to identify and recruit pipeline participants.
- Maintain coaching documentation, provide insights and regular program updates to leadership, and recommend improvements to pathway design.
- Build and sustain external partnerships and network through community and virtual events.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma / GED or equivalent.
- 1–2+ years of experience in Human Resources, Workforce Development, or a related field.
- Strong communication and coaching skills; ability to work with clinical and non‑clinical stakeholders.
- Comfortable delivering workshops and one‑on‑one coaching both in‑person and virtually.
- Ability to maintain accurate program documentation and share insights with leaders.
Preferred
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare, Human Resources, Education, Workforce Development, a clinical field, or related discipline.
- Experience designing talent pipelines, apprenticeships, or earn‑while‑you‑learn programs.
- Prior work with educational partners, community workforce agencies, or clinical leaders.
Physical & Travel
- Light work: up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Local daytime travel expected; occasional out-of-area and overnight travel (<25% overnight).
Working Conditions & Compensation
- Employment type: Full‑time; scheduled weekly hours: 40.
- Location: Rapid City, SD — this role requires regular in‑person presence to support frontline teams and engage stakeholders. Some remote/virtual work is possible, but frequent on-site collaboration is expected.
- Starting pay rate range (provided by our client): $60,403.20 – $75,504.00 per year (actual pay determined by knowledge, skills, and experience).
