What You’ll Do

Under routine supervision, the Capacity Procurement Representative will negotiate carrier rates, establish and maintain a carrier base, and ensure timely freight coverage while protecting margins. You will market and utilize a carrier-facing platform to increase efficiency and freight visibility, act as a liaison between carriers and internal stakeholders, and support best-in-class service execution.

  • Negotiate with carriers to secure competitive purchase rates that meet revenue and margin targets
  • Tender loads and maintain accurate shipment and customer records using the carrier platform (Carrier360)
  • Monitor freight in transit; obtain updates to ensure on-time pickup and delivery
  • Verify carrier authenticity and tracking prior to scheduled pickups
  • Communicate service issues proactively to internal teams to reduce cost and operational impact
  • Partner with operations, customer service, and safety teams to deliver reliable transportation solutions
  • Stay current on supply chain and market trends to inform negotiation tactics and carrier strategy
  • Manage multiple shipments and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Up to 1 year experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, or equivalent military experience — OR equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong professional communication skills (internal and external)
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships
  • Ability to analyze situations accurately and make productive decisions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Comfortable working across multiple shifts (may include nights/weekends) when needed
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and hold others accountable when required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
  • Up to 1 year experience in transportation/logistics, account management, or equivalent military experience
  • Familiarity with carrier procurement platforms (Carrier360) and freight tendering workflows

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated pay: $64,741 per year (estimated). Actual starting pay may vary based on skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications.

This position may be eligible for annual bonuses or incentives in accordance with the company’s plans. Benefits for full-time employees may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, disability coverage, paid time off (vacation and sick), parental leave, and paid holidays (subject to eligibility and plan terms).


Work Shift & Location

  • Location: Lowell, AR (on-site / local operations)
  • Typical shifts: Tuesday–Saturday OR Sunday–Thursday (may require flexibility)
