Key Responsibilities

  • Negotiate with carriers to secure purchase rates that meet revenue and margin goals.
  • Market and onboard carriers to the Carrier360 platform to increase efficiency and freight visibility.
  • Tender loads and maintain accurate shipment and customer records in the Carrier360 platform.
  • Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and carriers to ensure timely pickup and delivery.
  • Monitor freight in transit by obtaining carrier updates and proactively communicate delays or service failures to internal support teams.
  • Verify carrier authenticity and tracking prior to scheduled pickups.
  • Partner with internal teams to promote best-in-class service, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current on supply chain and market trends to optimize negotiation tactics and carrier sourcing.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Up to 1 year experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, or equivalent military experience — OR equivalent demonstrated skills through other experiences.
  • Strong professional communication skills, both internal and external.
  • Proven ability to establish and maintain working relationships with carriers and internal teams.
  • Ability to process information accurately and make informed decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and adapt to changing directives.
  • Willingness and ability to work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends if required.
  • Ability to hold others accountable and conduct constructive, difficult conversations when needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Up to 1 year experience specifically in transportation/logistics, account management, or related roles.
  • Direct experience using Carrier360 or other transportation management platforms is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Estimated pay: $65,415 per year (estimated). Factors affecting starting pay may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications.
  • May be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volume, per applicable bonus/incentive plans.
  • Benefits (subject to eligibility): medical, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, paid time off (including vacation and sick time), parental leave, and paid holidays.
